The Tshwane Spartans must be relieved after defeating the Jozi Stars in their previous game after losing three of their first four matches. The Spartans didn’t have any luck going their way as they lost to Durban Heat and NMB Giants by DLS method. A calculated knock from Dean Elgar in the previous game stunned Jozi who had the game in their hands after a brilliant finish with the bat, they also kept the Tshwane batsmen quiet in the first half of the chase.

They will be now up against Cape Town Blitz who got off to a start quite opposite to the Spartans. The Cape Town franchise won each of their first four matches before losing to Paarl Rocks. Their previous game was abandoned due to rain even before the toss. They lost the services of the speedster Anrich Nortje for the remainder of the tournament who showed great promise before catching up a knee injury.

Power Picks:

Dean Elgar showed what he can do in the T20 format in the previous game where he guided his team to a victory in the big run-chase. Gihahn Cloete has a tendency to make big scores and low scores in a sequence.

Best Playing XI:

Quinton de Kock, AB de Villiers, Asif Ali, Theunis de Bruyn, Dean Elgar, Janneman Malan, Sikandar Raza, Andile Phehlukwayo, Lutho Sipamla, Dale Steyn, Ferisco Adams.

Captain and Vice-Captain Selection:

Given the way AB de Villiers has played recently, he can be considered for the vice-captain. The likes of Theunis de Bruyn and Quinton de Kock are better bets as captain. Andile Phehlukwayo’s all-round performances are worth to be considered for a multiplier.

Expert Advice:

The teams Eoin Morgan, Rilee Rossouw, Dawid Malan and Mohammad Nawaz play in the T10 League have been knockouted before the qualifiers. However, with only 24 hours gap since their last appearance in Sharjah, there is low possibility of them turning up at the Centurion.

Probable Winners:

Tshwane Spartans are expected to win yet another game at home given the way they performed in the previous match.
