2. Tamim Iqbal

Veteran Bangladeshi batsman Tamim Iqbal was expected to call the shots for his side in the ongoing Nidahas Trophy. Being the most experienced batsman in his side, Tamim also hoped to anchor the team in the series. However, he failed to do so in the first few games.

However, as the series progressed, his performances have been improving significantly. After a decent start against India, Tamim looked in fine touch in the last league game against Sri Lanka. His fifty against the hosts proved to be a very crucial knock in the run chase of the must win game for his side. With the finals coming up, expect the big player to rise to the occasion.

3. Suresh Raina

Veteran Indian batsman Suresh Raina had arrived in the series riding on a big reputation. Also, he was expected to shoulder the bulk of the responsibility in the middle order with Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni rested. Raina failed to get going in the first three games of the series.

However, in the last league game of the team, he showed some serious class with a quick 47 to his name in just 30 deliveries on a tricky surface. Certainly, Raina would hope to improve on that even more and get a big score in the finals. He needs to put up a good show in order to retain his place in the side.
