Pakistan to tour England ahead of the World Cup 2019

The World Cup 2019, gets underway on May 30 with the opening encounter between hosts England and South Africa at The Oval. With less than a year for the mega event, all the teams have their preparation in place for the 50-overs extravaganza. The Pakistan team will get the best possible chance to assess the conditions and set up their playing combination in England as they will play the home team right ahead of the tournament.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced the team’s 2019 tour of England where they will play one-off Twenty20 International and then a five-match ODI series. It will prove to be a dress rehearsal for the World Cup and Sarfraz Khan’s men should be in the best position with their plans in place for the mega event.
The tour kicks off on May 5 with the T20I at Cardiff in Wales. The teams will then play the first ODI at Kia Oval on May 8 which is a day/night fixture; the third and fourth ODIs that will be played at Bristol and Trent Bride are also D/N games whereas the second and fifth match at Ageas Bowl and Leeds will be a day game.

May 14 — 3rd ODI (D/N) at Bristol

May 19 — 5th ODI at Leeds
In the World Cup, the Men in Green will initiate their campaign against Windies on May 31, they will play 9 matches in the round robin stage which includes the biggest match against arch-rivals India that is scheduled for June 16 at Old Trafford.
