India’s star bowler Ravichandran Ashwin has wished good luck to all the sportspersons of the nation with a special message. His special message was posted by the official Twitter handle of BCCI.

“I am very sure that getting an Olympic medal is one of the highest point of any athlete’s career. I just want you to be sure that all of you are in sincere prayers from here in the Caribbean. Thank you and all the best.”

This will be the first time in history that India will be sending an Olympic contingent that will have more than 100 players. The mega event is scheduled to start on August 5 at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

This time, we really hope that the contingent returns with great success back from Rio. In the last edition, at London in 2012, India had won a total of 6 medals – 2 silvers and 4 bronze medals.

Ashwin is currently in the Caribbean playing the ongoing second Test against West Indies at Sabina Park, Jamaica. His excellent bowling in the second innings of the first Test proved vital in India’s convincing win as he grabbed seven wickets.

Ashwin continued his fine run in the second game as well. After a pretty slow start, he went on to take a five-wicket haul in the first innings of the ongoing 2nd Test at the Sabina Park. India now currently hold a strong hold in the match after KL Rahul followed Ashwin’s fifer with a wonderful century.
