Rashid Khan is undoubtedly one of the toughest bowlers to face today in world cricket. Many batsmen have admitted it that facing him can be really difficult at times. In fact, New Zealand leg-spinner Ish Sodhi also admitted to CricTracker that the Afghanistan spinner is at another level among all the leg-spinners in the world. However, there is a question that has always been there, that is which batsmen does the spinner finds difficult to bowl to and he has finally answered this question.

As the entire world is going through a lockdown, many cricketers have engaged with their fans or fellow known personalities via Instagram Live. The Sunrisers Hyderabad bowler caught up with TV presenter Jatin Sapru. During this interaction, Sapru asked Khan which three batsmen does he find the toughest to bowl to.

Rashid Khan makes his picks

The 21-year-old admitted that he found bowling to Chris Gayle, Andre Russell, and Hardik Pandya really difficult during his career. All three batsmen have found an edge over the bowler at some point of time during the Indian Premier League.

All three batsmen are quite destructive in their batting and it is not surprising that young spinner selected them. Khan has played against the West Indian Gayle and Russell in many other leagues. Unlike Pandya, the two power-hitting Caribbean players participate in many leagues across the globe such as Big Bash League, Mzansi Super League, Caribbean Premier League, etc.

Other than representing Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League, the leg-spinner has played in several other franchise leagues. He has played for Adelaide Strikers (BBL), Comilla Victorians (Bangladesh Premier League), Durban Heat (MSL), Sussex (T20 blast), Guyana Amazon Warriors (CPL), Kabul Zwanan (Afghanistan Premier League) and Quetta Gladiators (Pakistan Super League). In 211 T20 matches so far, Rashid has picked up 296 wickets.

There are many achievements of the leg-spinner. He holds the record of being the youngest Test captain ever. In 71 ODIs, Khan has picked up 133 wickets at an average of 18.54. His bowling capabilities are often compared with many greats and surely, he would go on to become one of the finest bowlers of our game in the years to come.
