Real Madrid star Gareth Bale joins Virat Kohli in a business venture: Indian Test skipper Virat Kohli’s new business venture, Sport Convo, received a shot in the arm from Real Madrid star, Gareth Bale. The 27-year-old batsman took to Twitter to share Bale’s support for Sport Convo.

Sport Convo is a London-based social networking start-up venture, launched by Kohli, in order to give sports fans a platform to connect and interact about various sports events that happen across the globe. Kohli is also the co-owner of Indian Super League (ISL) club, FC Goa.

On his Twitter account, Kohli displayed Bale’s support towards the venture in an interesting manner, asking his followers to guess who backed his venture after posting an image of a heart sign as a clue. In the tweet that followed, Kohli revealed Real Madrid midfielder, Gareth Bale as the supporter.

The Real Madrid midfielder is well-known for celebrating his goals my gesturing the heart towards his fans.

Bale is excited about the venture and shared his rapport with Virat. “Quite an interesting story really, I have been a fan of cricket for ages and started following Virat Kohli, we got talking over social and he mentioned this idea called “Sport Convo” that he was starting, he sent me more detail on it and I instantly really liked it,” Bale said.

Kohli saw it as a great opportunity to communicate with his fans in an effective manner. Being a Real Madrid supporter, Kohli had good reason to get Gareth Bale on board.

“Sport Convo was particularly attractive to me as my belief is sport benefits greatly from social media. It provides fans with the opportunity to showcase their opinions and passion for the game. Also allowing me to communicate with my fans quickly and efficiently, which is important as a professional cricketer I am always on the go.

“Sport Convo stood out for me and delivers all of this and beyond and that’s why I opted to back this business venture. As you may know, I’m a Real Madrid fan and it’s good to be working with Gareth Bale now on Sport Convo. There is a lot of mutual respect between us and I’m glad to have him on board,” Kohli added.
