Ricky Ponting has finally admitted that he has not yet watched Brett Lee’s film UnIndian. The former Australian was the skipper for most of Lee’s career and seems to be one of the few who has missed the premier to the event. Brett Lee has captured many hearts, especially those of many Indians following a good performance on the silver screen in the movie.
Ponting has been in the Indian news recently as he has come down to India in a relationship capacity involving the governments of Tasmania and India. In his time here, the 41-year old former Australia skipper has given his views and opinions on several cricketing matters including Virat Kohli and Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
However, in far more immediate matters, Ponting has stated that Adam Gilchrist was one of the few cricketers who watched Lee’s film and reported back to him. “I haven’t seen his movie, but my friend Adam Gilchrist and a few others had seen it during the premiere in Australia and they told me it’s an interesting film,” he said.
Earlier in the week, Ponting had also stated his opinions on the current batch of players and where they would go from here. He went on to heap praise on Virat Kohli, Kane Williamson, and Steve Smith stating that they were the perfect examples of modern-day cricketers at the moment.

“They all are young and on similar career paths. It’s all up to those guys and how they master their minds to end up with better career records. But as a cricketer, I know someone like Smith or David Warner is more concerned about how many games the country wins and not how many centuries they score,” Ponting added.
