The Indian cricket team succumbed to a humiliating defeat against Australia by 8 wickets at the Adelaide Oval in the first day-night Test of the four-match Border Gavaskar Trophy. The visitors had started the Day 3 with a 62-run lead over Australia however the pacers Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins breathed fire from the ball as they picked up 5 and 4 wickets respectively.

India’s batting line-up witnessed an embarrassing collapse as they went from 9/1 to 36 for 9 within a span of a few minutes. This loss resulted in a lot of cricket analysts and pundits posing questions on the capabilities of the visiting side.

Former Indian batsman and the son of former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar, Rohan Gavaskar also took to his official Twitter handle to troll the Men in Blue for their poor show in the second innings. “Are we just witnessing the birth of a new format ? First innings test match – second innings t-20 . Best of both worlds . #indiavsaus #BorderGavaskarTrophy” Rohan Gavaskar tweeted.

Rohan Gavaskar gives a savage reply to a troller

This jibe by Rohan Gavaskar at the Indian side didn’t go well with a cricket fan as he tried to troll the former player by questioning his cricketing credentials and advised him to achieve something on his own in life before passing a comment on the national players. “Have u achieved anything in cricket buddy? Why u r commenting such with their level? First achieve something in life. U r just like a little kid still now.”

Meanwhile, Gavaskar, who represented India in 11 One Day Internationals, was ready to handle such trolls as he gave a befitting reply to the person on Twitter. Rohan told the troller to just stick to making fantasy teams and not comment on his life instead advised him to do something productive in life. “A) I’m not your buddy B) yes I have . C) stick to making your fantasy teams . D) move out of your parents house.”

Rohan Gavaskar made his maiden appearance on the big stage in January 2004 against Australia but he failed to make an impact as he featured in just 11 ODIs scoring 151 runs at an average of 18.87 with one fifty. The renowned commentator has some records in domestic cricket as he played 117 first-class matches amassing over 6,900 runs at an average of over 44.
