SA vs IND: Virat Kohli elated after the ODI series win

India registered a historic win against the Proteas in the 5th ODI by a margin of 73 runs. With this emphatic victory, team India also registered their first ever bilateral series win on South African soil. No other Indian team in the last 25 years managed to win a series across all the formats in the rainbow nation. Indian captain Virat Kohli yet again made it into the record books as the first ever captain to win a series in South Africa.

Virat and Shikhar Dhawan alongside the wrist spin duo of Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav are the chief architects of the victory. The Indian team gained momentum right since the win in the third Test and there was no looking back since then.

Virat Kohli has a special message on Facebook

Skipper Virat Kohli carried his stellar form to the rainbow nation. After a terrific 150 in the Tests, he impressed everyone with two centuries in the five ODIs. He has been a vital cog in the Indian lineup and looked elated after the win. Virat took it to his social media handle, Facebook to express his happiness.

“It’s been a collective effort to create history. When three guys at the top are being consistent, the guys who get an opportunity every now and then might not click. I’m very pleased, it was another complete performance from us. They had the pressure of losing this series and we knew that. Its history and the guys have worked hard for it. Ever since the third Test in Johannesburg, it’s been a good time for us,” he wrote.

Furthermore, Virat Kohli also shared a video that contained some of the best moments in the series. The 12-second video shared had players celebrating the fall of wickets and also the winning moments. It is indeed a wonderful moment in Indian cricket and Virat would be proud of what his boys have achieved.
