Sachin Tendulkar trolls Piers Morgan over England’s performance

British journalist and notable television personality Piers Morgan will now have to counter another volley, this time from Virender Sehwag’s on field opening partner Sachin Tendulkar. The Indian batting legend trolled Morgan over the visiting England team’s performance against India in the ongoing bilateral series between the two sides.

Sachin had earlier posted a picture of the duo MS Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh along with lines “What an amazing partnership between a superstar and a rockstar!! We enjoyed the show.

Piers was quick to ask Sachin,” Know any superstar rockstars of the same age we could bring back to the England team to give you more of a game, Sachin?”

Morgan’s tweet had a bit of sarcasm attached to it and he was obviously indicating towards his favorite person, Kevin Pietersen. But Sachin’s knockout tweet silenced him once and for all.

England took a beating from the Indian batsmen during the second ODI game at Cuttack, as Yuvraj and Dhoni made a merry of the opposition. The southpaw catered the bowlers for plenty, scoring career-best 150 from 127 balls, that featured 21 boundaries and 3 sixes.  On the other hand, Dhoni was at his brutal best, scoring his tenth ODI century (134 from 122 balls), courtesy 6 sixes and 10 fours.  India posted 381/6 on the board at the end of 50 overs.

For England, it was Chris Woakes who picked up 4 wickets and created early breakthroughs before the duo of Yuvraj-Dhoni came in and took the game away. India amassed 200 plus runs in the last 20 overs, as most of the England bowlers proved to be too expensive.

In their chase, they had on and off moments but despite a brilliant century 102 from 81 balls from skipper Eoin Morgan, the visitors feel short of the Indian target in the end by 15 runs. With that, they have now conceded the series 2-0 with the last ODI scheduled in Kolkata.
