Ajmal talked to the reporters after inaugurating a boutique in Pakistan on Friday and said that it is a shame for the country that some players have been involved in the spot-fixing scandal in the second edition of the Pakistan Super League.
The off-spinner also believes that those players involved in the shameful incident have spoiled the name of the country and the cricket in Pakistan.
Ajmal quoted “They should be hand rigid punishments in case they are found guilty, because these players had not only disappointed their fans, friends and families but also damaged the name of the country”
The player also praised the Pakistan Cricket Board and the ICC’s anti-corruption wing for often conducting training sessions for players which he himself had joined.
“Such training classes prove very helpful in guiding young cricketers. “I hope the next edition of the PSL will completely be staged in Pakistan. I am super fit and waiting for the chance to perform for my country. If I am given chance, I will surely deliver and help my team getting desired results”
