MS Dhoni had not one but two reasons to celebrate on July 7. The first one being India’s series win over West Indies, and the second, of course, his birthday. The former India captain turned 36, and social media turned into a mode of celebration with thousands of people wishing him on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. One among those was none other than Dhoni’s wife Sakshi.
Sakshi posted a very adorable picture of Dhoni holding his daughter Ziva’s hands as the father duo enjoy a walk in a boulevard. The caption says “Happy Bday @7781 !! #saathsaatheksaath !
The love story of Dhoni and his wife is well known and Sakshi often posts pictures with Dhoni, of trips, of family and some random pictures of the parents and Ziva posing in the house.
Earlier, a video of MS Dhoni’s birthday celebrations did the rounds on social media. Dhoni celebrated his birthday with the Indian cricket team and wife Sakshi was also in attendance. The cake-cutting seemed to have taken place after India’s series win over West Indies and Dhoni is seen comfortably snug in his bed where the teammates took the cake. As always, Dhoni is seen cutting the cake calmly, exhibiting no excitement or over enthusiasm.
Dhoni’s place in the team is being debated
On the field, Dhoni’s slowest ODI innings, 54 off 114 balls which he scored in the 4th One Day International, and also got out when India still required 14 runs to win, came under the scanner. Critics now demand that an out of form Dhoni be replaced with Rishabh Pant in the playing XI, the youngster who has shown great promise and talent.
The solitary T20 will be played on Sunday, July 9, at Kingston’ Sabina Park and T20 specialist, the swashbuckling Chris Gayle, is all set to make his comeback with that match.
