India has been going through a busy cricketing season. The Asia Cup began just days after the two month England tour saw its end. After the commencement of the Asia Cup, the Men in Blue have a home series coming. The Caribbean tour to India is scheduled to kickstart with the first Test on Rajkot from the 4th of October.

As a result, the Saurashtra Cricket Association has decided to begin the sale of tickets. While the online ticket sales have already started, they will now also be available across five outlets in the city. This is only the second test match to be hosted by Rajkot as they gear up to welcome both teams.

The tickets will include corporate boxes with a capacity to hold 15 persons

Through a press release, the SCA announced the ticket sale. They also introduced the rates of the corporate boxes. Alongside the five outlets, the tickets would also be sold in the stadium. The ground has a capacity of more than 28,000 people. It will be a home ground to a lot of Indian cricketers including the likes of Cheteshwar Pujara and Ravindra Jadeja.

“The SCA has decided to start selling of tickets for first Test match to be played between India and Windies here on October 4. There are two corporate boxes which have a capacity of 15 persons each. The rate for south pavilion corporate box rate is Rs 7,000 while the west stand corporate box rate is Rs 4,000.” SCA media manager Himanshu Shah was quoted as saying by Times Now

After a poor series against England, the Indian team management would be keen to improve things. With the Australian tour to follow later this year, a lot of youngsters are likely to be given opportunities that include the likes of Prithvi Shaw, Mayank Agarwal and even Hanuma Vihari who scored a fifty on debut. The Windies are touring India for the first time in five years after they cut down their tour in 2014.
