Former Australia cricketer Shane Warne is a legend of the game. There is absolutely no doubt over the fact that he is one of the greatest players to have played the game of cricket. Arguably the most successful leg spin bowler in the history of the game, Warne is now a commentator and broadcaster. Ever since he has retired from the game, Shane Warne has ensured that he manages to stay connected with his fans on the social media.

Be it with the frequent updates and analysis, or the answers to the queries of the fans and fellow cricketers – Warne has been covering it all. His most recent gesture on the social media has certainly managed to light up a young kid’s day. A cricket fan and enthusiast posted a video of the micro blogging site Twitter and had a query for Warne. The user had posted the video wherein his young 8 year old son was bowling in the nets.

He bowled the leg spin and hence it came as no surprise why the user ended up tagging Shane Warne in the post. Little did the user know, that Warne will end up seeing the post and in fact, even reply to it. In the tweet, the user wrote, “Hey @ShaneWarne, my 8 year old lad wordhips you- any tips?!”

Warne’s reply

Warne appreciated the question and was very analytical in his reply. He noted that the action looks good. However, it would be a lot better if he runs in straight and try to deliver the ball without the jump that he is doing at the moment. The social media went in splits seeing that Warne had actually made the day for the young kid. The user acknowledged the advice and expressed his happiness soon after.

Warne responded to the tweet saying, “Looks good, before he delivers the ball he jumps in a bit, try & get him to go in a straight line then deliver the ball. Have fun & spin it.”
