SH*T News of the day: With no IPL game today, People run out of ideas for their evening

The Indian Premier League has taken every cricket fan by storm. Ever since it began on 5th April, people have been all engrossed into watching the entertainment on their TV sets. People haven’t woken up in time to reach their offices but they’ve made sure they reach home on time in the evening to watch the IPL.

However, after the end of the league phase, there is no match supposed to be played today. This one day gap has stirred great confusion among the people as they are not sure what to do during the evening. People have been trying to fill in their schedules.

A boss of a well-recognised company spoke to SH*T News, ‘Yesterday my employees asked me if they could do overtime till 11, I was stunned. Usually, they start throwing taunts when I make them work even 10 minutes over their time,’ she said.

Another woman spoke exclusively to SH*T News, ‘Usually, my husband doesn’t take me anywhere but he has promised to take me for shopping, movie and dinner tonight. I can’t believe if this is a dream or reality. Ache Din aa gaye.’

Snapchat which had recently lost a lot of Indian customers for the blatant lie that India is a poor country is planning to make full use of this opportunity. They’ve decided to introduce more filters for the day so that IPL deprived people spend more time on the App.

There were some people who had no clue how they will kill the surplus time at hand. Some others have decided to hang out in Starbucks and CCD with their laptops to show the world they’ve a job while in reality, they will be fighting troll wars on Facebook and Twitter.

With no matches to be covered the major sports media outlets have gone back to publishing stories about rifts in the Indian team and of course questioning MS Dhoni for retirement. Others have taken the initiative of interviewing Yograj Singh and Vinod Kambli to give some controversial comments that will serve their living for the day.
