With the IPL 2024 auction well underway, the various franchises put in their best effort to get the top players in their squad ahead of the 17th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). One of the biggest deals of the event was star Australian batter Travis Head going to Sunrisers Hyderabad.

The World Cup winner was bought by Hyderabad for INR 6.8 crore, and with the news of the same making headlines across the world, former Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper David Warner took to Instagram to post a story. However, he revealed that he has been blocked by SRH on both X (formerly known as Twitter) and Instagram.

Posting the picture of the same on his Instagram story, Warner also tagged Travis Head on it after his arrival in the franchise.

It is worth noting that veteran opener Warner shares quite a history with Sunrisers Hyderabad as the star batter was stripped of his captaincy during the IPL 2021 midway through the season, which started his fall from grace with the franchise.

Furthermore, he was dropped from the lineup in 2021 with Kane Williamson being named the new skipper. However, Hyderabad’s season did not change as they went on to become the first team to be eliminated from the tournament in that season.

A few years ago, Warner also opened up about the same, opining that that it was a tough pill to swallow for him and that he was dropped without any explanation for it.

“I am not 100 per cent sure how to answer that. With the utmost respect for the owners, Trevor Baylis, Laxman, Moody and Murali, when a decision gets made, it has to be a unanimous one. You don't know who the person is going for you and who isn't," Warner told Sports Today in 2021.
