The highly anticipated final of the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023 is scheduled to take place at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad between India and Australia on Sunday, November 19.

Fans are eagerly looking forward to the match, and rumours were circulating about a potential performance by Hollywood pop icon Dua Lipa at the closing ceremony of the marquee event. These rumours stemmed from the singer's interaction with cricketers Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, and Kane Williamson on November 15.

However, it has been said that Dua Lipa will not be performing at the 2023 World Cup final. 

"Dua Lipa won't be performing at the 2023 World Cup Final," Mufaddal wrote on his 'X'.

Prime Minister is likely to attend the final of the event as a guest of honour:

In another development, it's been revealed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to attend the final of the event as a guest of honour. PM, a cricket enthusiast, was among the first to congratulate Team India after their impressive victory against New Zealand, securing their place in the ODI World Cup final for the fourth time in history.

"Congratulations to Team India! India puts up a superlative performance and enters the Finals in remarkable style. Fantastic batting and good bowling sealed the match for our team. Best wishes for the Finals!" he shared on X on Wednesday.

Following the match, PM Modi also praised Mohammed Shami's performance on social media, acknowledging his stellar bowling throughout the World Cup.

"Today’s Semi-Final has been even more special thanks to stellar individual performances too. The bowling by Mohammed Shami in this game and also through the World Cup will be cherished by cricket lovers for generations to come. Well played Shami!" he wrote.
