Joe Root, who has been absolutely sensational in the white-ball format of the game for England, hasn't been able to find a spot in the playing XI for his Indian Premier League 2023 franchise, Rajasthan Royals (RR). Royals are sitting comfortably on top of the points table with four wins out of five games that they have played thus far, with their solitary loss coming against Punjab Kings (PBKS).
Speaking of Root, he is a crucial part of RR's squad in the ongoing season; due to a star-studded top-order, which also includes his national teammate Jos Buttler, he hasn't managed to break through into the starting eleven for his franchise in the cash-rich league. Nevertheless, his inclusion might finally take place as he was seen sweating it out in the net sessions ahead of their upcoming clash on Wednesday, April 19.
In a tweet shared by Rajasthan Royals' official handle, a video where the ace batter was seen hitting the infamous 'helicopter' shot, popularised by the former Indian skipper MS Dhoni.

Royals return to Sawai Mansingh Stadium
Meanwhile, table toppers Rajasthan Royals will finally return to their fortress after a gap of almost three years when they cross swords against Lucknow Super Giants on April 19. The clash will take place at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
RR have a fantastic record at the SMS, Jaipur, wherein they have played a total of 47 matches at the venue and emerged victorious on a whopping 32 occasions. Notably, LSG will move into the contest with much confidence as they are placed right behind the Sanju Samson-led side in the IPL 2023 Points Table. It will be exciting to see which team tastes triumph when they meet in an exciting contest.
