Former cricket legends Virender Sehwag and Shoaib Akhtar, part of the commentary team from the ongoing ILT20 in Dubai, recently indulged in some lighthearted banter, giving fans a glimpse into the camaraderie between the two.

Akhtar took to the social media platform to share a video of their banter, revealing Sehwag's perspective on his infamous long run-up during his playing days.

"Hamaray pyaray Viru bhai @virendersehwag yeh batatay huay k mera lamba run up ko kitna intezar kerwata tha. And he feels it was a big distraction," posted Akhtar on 'X'

Sehwag, known for his explosive batting, humorously recounted, “I would keep looking down, knowing that it would take 10-15 seconds for him to finish his run-up."

Akhtar, curious, asked if the long run-up distracted him. Sehwag's response was both insightful and amusing, “A lot of thoughts would run in mind. Will he hit my toes or a beamer on my head? He will hit somewhere.”

Sehwag, a stalwart in Indian cricket, boasts an impressive international career. With 104 Test matches, 251 ODIs, and 19 T20Is, he has left an indelible mark, including being one of the select few to achieve double centuries in ODIs and triple centuries in Tests. His aggressive style and numerous records, including the fastest triple century in Test cricket, have solidified his cricketing legacy.

On the other hand, Akhtar, famously known as the "Rawalpindi Express" for his blistering pace, carved his niche in cricket history. His Test and ODI records, coupled with being part of Pakistan’s 2009 T20 World Cup-winning squad reflect his impactful career. As these cricket icons share anecdotes and laughter in the commentary box, fans are treated to not just cricket insights but also the funny side of these legendary players.
