Preview

Melbourne Stars will be taking on Sydney Thunder in the 3rd fixture of the BBL 10. This will be Stars’ second game of their campaign after beating Brisbane Heat just a day earlier.

It was a complete team performance by the Stars in their first game of the season as the conditions suited their bowling a lot. Their bowling which restricted the Heat within 120s only. However, they were in some trouble after losing early wickets during the chase but Hilton Cartwright and captain Glenn Maxwell made sure they got the winning points comfortably. Overall, they will go with the same XI and will be looking to get two wins in a row at the Manuka Oval.

On the other side, Sydney Thunder will be playing their maiden game of the season. The Thunders were one of the first teams to get their squad right up. They finished 3rd last season and rebuilt their squad with new additions like Ben Cutting, New Zealand international Adam Milne and English superstar Sam Billings.

Alex Hales and Daniel Sams would continue to be their marquee players. They got a pretty experienced top order followed by an inexperienced middle order in absence of Billings for the initial rounds. Overall, they got a good mixture of experience and youth with an ambition to kick off their campaign with a win.

STA vs THU Weather Report for BBL 2020-21 Match 3:

It will be another Sunny day in Canberra on Saturday. The temperatures will be hovering around 21-18 Degree Celsius with zero chances of rain during the match time.

The pitch at the Manuka Oval has been on the slower side as a couple of international games were played before the BBL commenced. Batters struggled to connect the ball with the bat as the game went. The team winning the toss should be more comfortable to take batting first on this wicket.
