Statistical Highlights – Pakistan v England 3rd T20I: England won another toss to bat first another time. With the series already won, England shuffled its openers and it didn’t work as debutant Aamer dismissed Jason Roy on the first ball of the match. Joe Root then took charge until he and Moeen Ali were removed by Afridi off successive balls. Pakistan looked in all control until Chris Woakes and James Vince added 60 runs for the 7th wicket to take England from 86/6 to 154/7 in their 20 overs.
Pakistan had the worst of starts when they lost all of its top 3 for mere 11 runs in the chase. Mohammad Rizwan and Shoaib Malik then added stability to the chase, but Rizwan didn’t last long, as did Umar Akmal. Pakistan needed 70 off 47 balls when Shahid Afridi entered the ground to partner a set Shoaib Malik. Both added 63 runs for the 6th wicket and brought Pakistan right back into the game. 10 runs were required off the last over and Pakistan managed only 9 to tie the game. Super Over!
Chris Jordan was handed the ball from England and he replied effectively, conceding only 3 in the super over and got the wicket of Akmal on the last ball.
