T Natarajan, who is currently playing for the Kings XI Punjab, expressed that he is relishing every bit of the Indian Premier League this season. The Tamil Nadu-based left-arm seamer gained the majority of the headlines after the King’s XI side purchased him at 3 crores in the IPL auction.

Thangarasu Natarajan has been constantly compared to Bangladeshi bowler Mustafizur Rahim due to his action, in this edition of the IPL. He seemed enthused about his next assignment against the visitors Sunrisers Hyderabad in a recent interview.

“I would love to know how he brings in those variations and keeps the batsmen guessing. I did see him during practice on Thursday but didn’t speak to him. Communicating may be an issue but I would take the help of Vijay Shankar, also part of the Hyderabad team” said the 25-year old according to Times of India.

Further, Natarajan stated that he has idolised Australian fast bowler Mitchell Johnson over the years. The star from TNPL also relished the opportunity to gain a few tips in his presence. “He was gracious enough to pose for a photo and even gave a few tips on the lengths to bowl in different formats of the game,” he said.

He further mentioned that the diet regime players from all over globe followed along with the demeanour they carry on the field has been worth learning for him.

“The way players in the league prepare for a game, the diet they follow, the way they conduct themselves — all these aspects are worth learning from” added the southpaw.

“My fielding coach R Sridhar has been a great help and everyone in the team made me feel at home. I have begun to slowly understand the language they speak as that’s crucial in order to communicate with them,”

The lanky left-arm seamer concluded by saying that his friends and family are always glued to the television watching him play for the Punjab side. “My friends and relatives are always rooting for me and it will be great to do well for them,”
