The third day of the T10 League 2019 started off with the game between the Northern Warriors and Team Abu Dhabi. The latter managed to stun in former in this encounter. Batting first, Andre Russell couldn’t get the big shots going and scored just 37 runs in the 27 balls that he faced. This clearly impacted the overall team’s total as the Warriors could only get 92 runs on the board despite losing just one wicket. Sam Billings, however, was impressive with his 20-ball 35.

Luke Wright provided Abu Dhabi with a great start in the chase. The 48 runs that he scored at the strike rate of 209 more than set the tone for his team. Moeen Ali, the England all-rounder, contributed with 30 runs from 20 balls. Even though they lost a few quick wickets towards the end, the job was mostly done by then. Thus, they managed to get over the line with 9 balls to spare.

Batting first, Karnataka Tuskers would have been really pleased with the score they posted at the halfway mark. Johnson Charles raced his way to 57 from 29 balls while Hashim Amla mustered 47 runs from the same number of balls. Thus, they managed to get to 114 at the end of 10 overs. However, the Tigers’ openers blew the opposition apart with their hitting. Andre Fletcher took just 15 balls to score 40 while Rilee Rossouw scored 22 from 10. Towards the end, a 9-ball 28 from Tom Moores helped the team chase down the target with 7 balls to spare.

It was a really strange performance from Qalandars in the game against Maratha Arabians. First up, a combined effort from the batsmen took the Arabians to 107/8 in 10 overs. While this target seemed chaseable, the Qalandars never got going. Dawid Malan, with 32 runs from 25 balls, was the only batsman to reach the double figures. The team lost the game by 47 runs.
