T10 League 2019: Day 5, Super League, Match Prediction – Weather Report, Pitch Conditions, Playing XIs and Live Streaming Details

The Group matches of the 2019 T10 League is done and dusted with. It’s now time for the first of the four days in the Super League of the tournament. Deccan Gladiators and the Qalandars will locks horns in the first match at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Qalandars had a jittery run, having slumped to a 47-run defeat against Maratha Arabians after beating Northern Warriors.

The Gladiators came back with back-to-back wins after losing to the Delhi Bulls. In the second game, the Bulls will face off with the Warriors. Both teams had a solitary victory in the Group stage, but Delhi ended with more points courtesy of a tied game. The third game will see Bangla Tigers and Team Abu Dhabi lock horns. Both sides had one win, one loss and a tied match in the Group stage.

Pitch Report

In the 10 matches, which produced results, 6 games were won by the chasing teams. The track has improved a bit as scores over 110 has been churned out more often. Teams have also defended targets, winning by good margins. Skippers can’t opt for chasing without a second thought.

Weather Report

There’s no chance of rain with the clouds staying away. The temperature will start at around the 30 degrees Celsius and will come down to 26 degrees Celsius. The humidity will be in the 40s to begin with and then will see an escalation as the day progresses. All in all, the conditions will be pleasant.

The Gladiators batting has been bolstered by the inclusion of Kieron Pollard, who went bonkers against the Karnataka Tuskers. Shane Watson, Anton Devcich and Bhanuka Rajapaksha are also in good enough rhythm. The team would want a bit more from opener Mohammad Shahzad. Zahoor, Zahir and Pretorius have economy rates under 10. Fawad Ahmed has been a tad expensive though.

Even Sultan Ahmed and Lahiru Kumara with economy of 10.33 and 11 haven’t been taken apart. Batting has been their concern as Tom Banton has the highest strike-rate of 165.90. Dawid Malan, Luke Ronchi and Phillip Salt are yet to set the stage ablaze.

Eoin Morgan has been the Bulls’ standout batter thus far, having scored 100 runs at 192.30. He has gotten good support from Angelo Mathews. Even Kusal Perera found some of his rhythm last time around. Sherfane Rutherford looked in great touch. Nabi’s inclusion has strengthened their bowling as he gave away runs at 6.50. Rampaul has four wickets at 6.33. The rest needs to support the duo.

Sam Billings and others have struggled for timing. Their bowling hasn’t been the worst as Russell, Rayad Emrit and Chris Green have kept a check on the runs apart from picking up wickets. Darren Sammy hasn’t contributed much either.

The Tigers’ batting has been explosive thus far and it has depth as well. Most of their batters have strike-rates in excess of 155. Rilee Russouw, Tom Moores, Colin Ingram and Andre Fletcher have churned out runs at pretty brisk pace. Liam Plunkett, David Wiese and Kevin Koththigoda have a couple of wickets each. Koththigoda and Qais Ahmed had superlative days last time versus the Bulls.

The others have been expensive. De Lange is their leading wicket-taker.
