India ended their campaign in the 2021 edition of the T20 World Cup with a crushing 9-wicket victory over the Namibia side. Chasing a target of 133, the Indian side raced past the target with 4.4 overs to spare.

The Indian opening duo of KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma sent the Namibia bowlers on a leather hunt, and put on an 86-run partnership for the opening wicket. While Sharma scored a whirlwind 56, Rahul helped himself to 54*. All the Namibia bowlers who rolled their arms over were decimated by a spirited Indian side.

In fact, such was the state of affairs that not even a single Namibia bowler went at an economy rate of less than 7 runs per over, and only Jan Frylinck could scalp a wicket.

Namibia post 132/8 on the board

Batting first, the Namibia side posted a total of 132/8 on the board. David Wiese top-scored for the Namibia side and scored a sedate 25-ball 26 with the willow. Apart from Wiese, Stephan Baard also scored a run-a-ball 21 as well.

For India, the spin bowling duo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja were outstanding with the ball. Ashwin and Jadeja scalped 6 wickets together and constantly applied pressure on the opposition.

Both India and Namibia are out of the tournament. While India are placed at the 3rd place in the points table, Namibia are occupying the 5th spot. We now move on to the semifinal stages of the competition, and the 4 teams that have qualified for the knockout stages are Pakistan, New Zealand, England, and Australia.
