BPL 2024 Schedule
The top-tier competition in Bangladesh, the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is all set to commence on January 6, 2023 in Mirpur. After emerging victorious in the previous edition against Fortune Barishal in the summit clash of the event, Comilla Victorians will put their title on the line in the ninth edition of the league.
Like every season, this season too will be a treat for the fans as they will be on the edge of their seats to keep track of the BPL live scores as a total of 46 matches will be played in the month-long event. The previous editions saw six franchises locking horns for the coveted title; however, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced the return of Rangpur Riders after two long seasons.
Depending on the venues, the matches will be played in five different phases with Chittagong, Sylhet, and Dhaka hosting the event. The league like most domestic leagues around the world will see the traditional double round-robin format followed by the playoffs. The BCB also announced that two matches will be played per day in the group stage and having reserve days for all of the knockout matches. Following the conclusion of group stages, the four highest ranked teams in the BPL points table will progress to the elimination rounds to fight for the prestigious trophy. Chattogram Challengers and Sylhet Strikers will kickstart the event at the Sher-e-Bangla stadium in Mirpur on January 6, 2023.
