Rishabh Pant is one character who is always amusing to watch for the fans. Even on a tough day of Test cricket, the Delhi wicketkeeper finds ways to entertain his teammates and the fans watching the match. During the second day’s play between India and England, another incident involving Pant got the social media fans talking about him.

The incident happened when Ravichandran Ashwin bowled a full-toss ball to Ollie Pope, who couldn’t find a proper connection, and the ball went up in the air. He, at the moment, thought that the ball had gone straight up and would fall in front of the wicket. He in fact went and stood in front of the wicket.

However, it was later found that the ball had gone way behind the stumps. Rohit Sharma who was in the slip ran to the ball and collected it then. Everyone who was on the field was seen sharing a laugh about the incident. Pant had a little brain-fade moment and was later heard saying “mujhe toh ball dikha hi nahi”, which literally translates to “I didn’t see the ball.”

The commentators too shared a laugh about the fact that Pant ran in completely opposite direction without even looking. People on Twitter found the moment very hilarious and everyone started sharing it. The video became viral soon.

Here is the clip along with some other tweets related to the incident:

Fans can’t just have enough of Rishabh Pant

India had another tough day in the field but some persistent bowling helped them get some rewards as well. After Joe Root scored his second double century in three Tests, he was finally dismissed by Shahbaz Nadeem for 218. England piled on the runs as the bowlers struggled to find anything from the wicket.

Ben Stokes scored 82 runs as well in the morning session to put India on the back foot early. England’s score was 555 for 8 at stumps on day two. Dominic Bess was unbeaten for 28 along with his spin-bowling partner Jack Leach, who has scored six runs. It seems that England will look to bat again on day three. For India, Ravi Ashwin, Ishant Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, and Shahbaz Nadeem picked up two wickets each.
