Simon amassed 4,188 odd-runs walking in for 56 Tests with an impressive average of 45.03. A career spanning over a decade, the heavyweight exploited deadly bowlers with his extraordinary batting elegance.

After bidding adieu to his cricketing career, he padded up for his second innings as coaches for franchise cricket. Reflecting his eyebrow-raising achievements wearing the coach’s hat is the statistics presented by CricViz, he tops the list with a 74.1% success rate which speaks volumes about his leadership skills.

Donning the coach’s cap for Perth Scorchers, Kolkata Knight Riders and Trinidad Knight Riders, the stalwart has rendered full justice to his post. Currently, he is leading Royal Challengers Bangalore as a head coach and it is yet to be seen whether his endeavours help the team to clinch the coveted trophy.

2. Brendon McCullum – 70.8%

Featuring second in the list of all-time greats, it appears to be another feather in the legend’s already-illustrious cap. The New-Zealand born prodigy has smashed 2,140 runs in only 71 T20I matches which speaks volumes about the star’s approach towards the game. Not to everyone’s surprise, the Kiwi went on to score the fastest hundred off 54 balls and signed off from his international career in style.

Having adequate experience of the game, the talisman decided to accept this challenge. Eventually, the mojo displayed the propensity of his cricketing intellect without a wand in his hand. Grabbing the opportunity with both hands, he justified his position as he features in the list with a 70.8% success rate.

Off late, he coached Trinidad Knight Riders and the team went on to become the title-contenders in the 2020 CPL. Following the triumph, the 38-year-old is confidently leading the Kolkata Knight Riders in the delayed edition of the 13th IPL as a head coach.

3. Justin Langer – 65%

The top-order batsman has been a value-addition for the Australian team for his entire career. Being a top-order decimator, Langer was the architect for building high scores for the team. The Test-cricket-specialist has 7,696 runs in his cricketing bank which remains secured forever. Because of his performance in the cricketing circuit, he earned a fit-for-coaching aura among his colleagues.

Taking the charge as a coach for premier leagues, Justin Langer has given his best to guide the team. To his critisisers’ dismay, the veteran ranks third in the rankings produced by CricViz. With positive intent, the cricketing dynamo has coached 60 matches and holds a significant record of 65% conversion rate.

Leading Perth Scorchers in Big Bash League in 2018 as the head coach, he did not taste victory. However, he delivered a great coaching experience to budding cricketers who would shape the standards of the game in the coming years. Currently, the gentleman is busy refining the Australian cricket team as the head coach.

4. Paul Nixon – 63.6%

Coaching the Caribbean Premier League title-winners Jamaica Tallawahs’ as a head coach, he defined his potential to the world. The England-born cricketer has the best of statistics to his name as the disciple of the game. The wicket-keeper batsman possesses one of the best cricketing minds among his competitors. He proved his worth with his exemplary performance.

Nixon ranks fourth in the list is suggestive of the legend’s majestic ideas which push the team in the direction of triumph. He has coached in 33 matches and has an impressive stint with a success rate of 63.6%.

Paul has been the favourite choice for a plethora of champion sides stretching across oceans. Moreover, adding beautiful colours in the action-packed format of the game, he has been a go-to person for any players in the Jamaica Tallawahs.

5. Andy Flower – 61.9%

The Zimbabwe- cricketing dynamo grabs attention due to his wits and street-smart leadership. He stands fifth in the list of most successful coaches in the cash-orientated cricketing arena. Coaching 21 matches, Andy has flowered the garden of franchises with a plethora of titles to their name.

Holding an excellent conversion rate of 61.9%, he excelled in the coaching department with flying colours. Having led many teams as head coaches, he adds vigour and zeal to his side. The 52-year old leads Multan Sultan in PSL as head coach. Moreover, he has donned the coach’s hat for St Lucia Zouks and assistant coach for Kings XI Punjab in CPL and IPL respectively. Currently, the stalwart has retired as the England head coach.

Thus, he served the national cricket team of England with utmost honesty and dedication. Also, his humongous achievements will inspire other budding coaches to raise the standard of the sport we all love.
