After 80 IPL innings, he has managed to score 1401 runs at an average of 27.47, but his strike rate is 157.23, which takes the cake. As a matter of fact, he has the highest strike rate for any Indian batter with more than 1000 runs in the IPL.

<a href="https://www.crictracker.com/psl-2021-quetta-gladiators-andre-russell-concussed-after-copping-a-blow-on-the-helmet/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Andre Russell</a> arrived in the IPL when Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) bought him in the IPL 2012. However, his big break in the cash-rich league came when he was signed up by Kolkata Knight Riders for the IPL 2014. 
He didn’t make a great impression in his first year, but with time, he became the franchise’s most valued player. Apart from being a mind-blowing hitter of the cricket ball, he is quite the utility player for the franchise. 
The Jamaican all-rounder can be effective with the ball as well and has proven to be a match-winner for the franchise on numerous occasions. But, what separates him from a lot of batters in the IPL is the rate at which he can score runs. 
After playing 68 IPL innings, Russell has scored 1680 runs with an average of 29.47. These are decent numbers in T20 cricket, but his strike rate of 179.29 is far from what the second-rank player has. Interestingly, he is one of the few batsmen who have hit more sixes than they have hit fours in the IPL.
