Mohammad Amir ’s wonderful opening spell put life into the low scoring game which India won by 5 wickets. Pakistan was put into bat first by MS Dhoni on a greenish wicket. The Indian bowlers did their job amazingly and sacked the Pakistan batting order to topple them for just 83 runs.

The game looked completely in India’s favor during. With such a strong Indian batting line-up, no one expected Pakistan to come back in the match. However, Mohammad Amir played like a one-man army and rattled the Indian top order to add spice to the match.

The left arm fast bowler made life tough for the Indians and got match-defining figures of 3/18. Amir began the second innings and put pressure on their rivals right from the first ball. Sharma looked clueles when he was welcomed with a yorker which hit him straight in front of line. Sharma survived a loud appeal but was trapped leg before by an in-swinger of the next ball.

Amir then removed Ajinkya Rahane a ball later and the Indian scorecard read a worrisome 2/2. He continued in the same fashion and dismissed Suresh Raina who scooped a simple catch to Wahab Riaz at mid off. The fast bowler was bowling quick and generated excellent swing to make the Indian fans nervous. The match was alive till the time he was bowling but Pakistan were knocked out of the game once his spell ended. India eventually chased down the target with five wickets, thanks to Kohli’s 49 runs knock.
