It seems that the demotion handed over by the Pakistan Cricket Board while announcing the annual contract has had an effect on the consciousness of Umar Akmal. After being demoted to Category D recently Akmal hasn’t really gained any attention for a while. But, it seems it is quite tough to keep him out of the limelight for a prolonged time.

In an amusing incident, Akmal unknowingly might have offended his former coach Dav Whatmore by posting a meaningless tweet with an awkward emoji. Emoji’s are meant to express your mood. And, if we go by what Akmal posted, it can be clearly understood that the Pakistani batsman was a bit drunk at the time when he decided to reply to one of Dav Whatmore’s old tweet.

In an unfortunate incident on September 28th, the cricketing fraternity lost Max ‘Tangles’ Walker, an Australian fast bowler who played in the 1970’s alongside Dennis Lillee and Jeff Thompson. Walker succumbed to his fight with cancer and lost his life at the age of 68 but was a lesser known player among cricket fans as he spent his career under the shadow of both Lillee and Thompson.

But, in his 34 Test long career, Walker did not fail to gain a reputation for being an entertainer and his famous wrong-footed bowling action. It is not hard to conclude that his loss was a huge one and the cricketing world paid their tributes to Tangles. Dav Whatmore paid his respect to him.

But, strangely, Umar Akmal, after more than a month, decided to respond to the post and it in a witless manner. Butm fortunately, soon trolls followed and his sense was restored.
