Virender Sehwag feels players like Aaron and Sammy would bring new ideas and skills

Sehwag is happy with the number of players retained as it will help grow the side's chemistry.

Virender Sehwag, Head of cricket operations of the Kings XI Punjab believes that high profile players like Varun Aaron and Darren Sammy will strengthen the squad and will bring new ideas and skills to the picture. Sehwag who was a hard hitting batsman in his career also feels that these players with their new skills make Kings Xi Punjab a real title contender in the 10th season of the Indian Premier League.

The former Indian batsman also said that Kings XI Punjab will stick to their natural style of playing which is being aggressive and carefree. At the same time they will hope to make an impact on the league and win all the matches that come their way. He also put emphasis on the point that all the players must feel proud and passionate to play for the franchise.

Sehwag quoted on Saturday “The addition of new players such as Varun Aaron, T Natarajan and Darren Sammy will bring fresh ideas and skills. This camp will focus on developing our aggressive, brave and carefree style of cricket, while hopefully installing pride and passion in playing for Kings XI Punjab”

“We have high hopes and expectations for IPL 10 and this cricket camp will be the stepping stone to having a successful season.”

Sehwag seems to be delighted with the fact that they have retained a number of player from last season which according to the star helps in growing the team chemistry.

“I am very happy to finally begin our IPL 10 campaign with the cricket camp this April. We have retained a fair amount of players from previous seasons allowing us to further grow our team chemistry”

The domestic players of the Kings Xi franchise will start the practice camp ahead of the 10th season of the IPL with the likes of Eoin Morgan, Matt Henry and David Miller. Kings Xi this time has a good breed of international players which will allow them to compete for the title for sure. The likes of Martin Guptill and Shaun Marsh are likely to provide them with good starts at the top. Shaun Marsh and Marcus Stoinis will be joining the camp from April 4th and 5th.
