Watch: Dwayne Bravo thanks his people for their love in a recent interview

After skipper Darren Sammy’s emotional outburst during the post-match ceremony speech after winning the World T20, his teammate Dwayne Bravo has now openly voiced his dissent with the West Indies Cricket Board.

Bravo, who these days has got everyone dance to his tunes with his hit single champion ‘Champion,’ was speaking in an interview on CNC3 television’s Morning Brew. The cricketer was speaking from Mumbai over Skype to shows host Hema Ramkissoon.

Bravo said in the interview that he was not surprised about the World T20 victory in India. He also said that a lot of people lashed out at them questioning their commitment towards the game.

“I was not surprised. I think we’ve had enough as players. Too much times a lot of people come down on the players. They question our commitment, they question whether we’re really committed to West Indies cricket or is it just the money?”

“A lot of people don’t understand the kind of things we go through as players dealing with our board, and I think it’s the most unprofessional board in the world, and I think Sammy spoke from his heart.”

He also spoke about his song ‘Champion’ whose popularity has spread like a wild flower everywhere. He stated he wrote the song during last year’s Caribbean Premier League in July, saying that the song is his personal anthem.

Bravo signed off thanking the people of Trinidad and Tobago and West Indians living around the world for their support. “The World Cup is for the people of the region. And thanks for all the love for the song Champion.”
