Watch: Mohammad Amir wins the Hafeez v Amir battle in BPL 3

Watch: Mohammad Amir wins the Hafeez v Amir battle in BPL 3: The much talked about battle between Mohammad Hafeez and his controversial countryman Mohammad Amir, finally took place during the 25th Match between Chittagong Vikings & Dhaka Dynamites at Dhaka.

Amir bowled a short of a good length ball outside the off stump while Hafeez tried to leave the ball pretty late. The ball took the outside edge of the bat, as wicketkeeper Anamul Haque did the rest. A pumped up Amir didn’t hesitate to show his emotions, as he jumped in joy. The wild celebration had more to do with Hafeez rather than a vital wicket from the context of the game.

Earlier, Pakistan’s senior batsman Mohammad Hafeez had turned down a lucrative offer from Chittagong Vikings to play in the Bangladesh Premier League since the franchise had also signed on tainted young pacer Mohammad Amir.

“It is not about individuals or any personality clash. It is about the image of Pakistan cricket. I cannot play with any player who has tarnished and brought a bad name to the country,” Hafeez had earlier said.

On one instance when the Pakistan team was practising at the national cricket academy in Lahore, its former bowling coach Muhammad Akram had invited Mohammad Aamir to bowl to Hafeez in the nets. But Hafeez instantly refused to face the left-armer because of his controversial past. Hafeez is also said to be among the group of players in the Pakistan team who are strongly opposed to allowing the tainted trio to play for the national team again in any format.
