Watch: Yuvraj Singh starts off with a six

Yuvraj Singh is a very well-known when it comes to hitting sixes. His hitting skills were on display today as well as he hit a six to open his account as soon as he entered the field.

Yuvraj came in to bat in the 6th over after India was reduced down to 32/3 by the debutant Dasun Rajitha. Off-spinner Sachithra Senanayake was introduced into the attack by Dinesh Chandimal.

Yuvi defended the first ball towards square leg. The second ball, however, was treated in a very rash manner by the ‘sixer king’. The left-hander advanced down the track and made the flighted delivery from the ‘birthday boy’ disappear into the stands.

It was unexpected from him as the team was in troubles at that time. But, Yuvraj did not let the Sri Lankans mount pressure on him. However, his stay was very short lived as he was dismissed for just 10 runs by fast bowler Chameera.

This shot clearly indicates that the 34-year-old is turning into his bold and aggressive old self. Yuvraj re-entered the Indian team during the successful tour Down Under where the blanked the hosts Australia 3-0. Yuvraj played in all the three T20Is but did not get to bat until the final match of the series. Anxious fans waited for him to come out in the middle with the bat in the hand. The wish came true, in the last match, Yuvraj came in to bat at a crucial stage and smashed two big hits to enable India win the match.
