Pakistan Cheif Najam Sethi has gone on to confirm that a delegation from the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) will be making their way down to Pakistan to inspect the security arrangements made by the Pakistan-based board for their upcoming tour of Pakistan.

Since 2009, there has been just the one tour to the war-torn country, something that has seen a lot of problems created in recent times for the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in terms of finances as well. Speaking ahead of the inspection, Sethi went on to state that the WICB had made a proposal to play a few matches in Florida to which the PCB had proposed to play one in Pakistan.

”We have invited the West Indies to play two or three T20 matches before we go and play a similar number of matches against them in Florida in March-April before the full Test series in the Caribbeans,” Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) senior official Najam Sethi said.

He also went on to state that he had requested the West Indians to consider the proposal to play in Pakistan itself.“We have requested them to consider touring Pakistan before the Florida matches for a couple1 of T20 games and we have also sent our comprehensive security plan to them for deliberation,” he added.

With the PSL final on the verge of being moved to Lahore this time around, Sethi went on to add that the PCB was bleeding financially as there was a dearth of international cricket being played in the country in recent times. A PCB official went on to speak about the current financial conditions of the BCCI. “We are losing a lot of money and the ICC at its last meeting said the task team will review our proposal,” another PCB official said.
