'What he should do next time' - Virender Sehwag's hilarious advice for Wriddhiman Saha after he receives threatening texts from journalist

Former India opener Virender Sehwag has publicly voiced his support for Wriddhiman Saha, who shared a screenshot of some threatening messages from a journalist after he did not agree to his request of giving an interview following his exclusion from India’s Test squad named by the BCCI on February 19.

Sehwag recently took to his Twitter to share a hilarious take on the episode as he used Rohit Sharma’s split picture to reckon what Saha should do the next time the journalist in question tries to reach him out. In the picture, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma can be seen pointing fingers as he sets the field, however, the same also creates an impression as if he were asking someone to get away from him.

“What I would have done and what Wriddhi should be doing next time the so-called journalist dares to message him,” read Sehwag’s latest tweet after he had earlier tweeted in support of Saha. “Extremely sad. Such sense of entitlement, neither is he respected nor a journalist, just chamchagiri. With you Wriddhi,” his previous tweet read.

Saha was one of the four seniors alongside veteran batters Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane and senior pacer Ishant Sharma, who were not named in India’s squad for the upcoming two-Test home series against Sri Lanka.

In the screenshot shared by the 37-year-old, the journalist can be seen threatening Saha for not receiving his call and declining his request by saying, “This wasn’t something ypu (you) should have done.”

Although Saha chose not to name the person, he was visibly disappointed by the turn of events. “After all of my contributions to Indian cricket..this is what I face from a so called “Respected” journalist! This is where the journalism has gone,” read his tweet.

Saha later told the media about the conversations he had with chief selector Chetan Sharma and India’s head coach Rahul Dravid. “The team management had told me that I would not be considered henceforth. I could not tell this so long as I was part of the India team setup,” he said.

‘Even coach Rahul Dravid suggested that I think about taking retirement,” he added. ‘When I hit an unbeaten 61 taking a pain-killer in the first Test against New Zealand in Kanpur last November, Dada (Sourav Ganguly) congratulated me over Whatsapp. He even mentioned that I should not worry about anything so long as he is at the helm of the BCCI. Such a message from the board president really boosted my confidence. But I failed to understand why everything changed so fast.”
