The 22nd match of the 2019 Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) will be played between Hobart Hurricanes and Sydney Thunder at the West Park Oval in Burnie.

The match starts at 11:00 AM local time (12:00 AM GMT) (5:30 AM IST).

Preview:

The game on Saturday to be played at the West Park Oval between Sydney Thunder and Hobart Hurricanes was abandoned without a toss. However, the two teams will clash off at the same venue once again on Sunday. Thunder, thus missed a chance of taking the top spot in the points table as Adelaide Strikers earned their 4th win five games on Saturday by defeating Brisbane Heat.

Thunder have won each of their last three matches before touring Burnie. They lost their first game against Sydney Sixers by a huge margin of 49 runs. The Hobart Hurricanes, on the other hand, won their first two matches against Melbourne Stars but lost their next two by small margins. Hurricanes will be hoping to win more considering the top form of Heather Knight and Nicole Carey.


Weather Condition/Report:

The Saturday’s match was abandoned without a toss but there is a possibility of play on Sunday. Showers are expected in the first half of the match but things are expected to improve from 12:30 PM local time.

Hobart Hurricanes hosted two matches at this venue at the start of previous season against Melbourne Stars. In the first game, Hurricanes posted 158 and had the Stars four down for 23 in the powerplay but lost from thereon.
