Young Indian cricketer drowns in a swimming pool in Sri Lanka

A tragedy took place as a 12-year-old boy who went to play a cricket tournament in Sri Lanka, drowned in a swimming pool. The incident took place last evening when the boy was swimming in the pool with 3 other teammates at a hotel in Pamunugama. The boy was rushed to the hospital Pamunugama hospital but unfortunately lost his life there.

According to reports, the boy is a resident of Gujarat. The boy went to Sri Lanka to be part of a Under-17 cricket tournament. He was accompanied by 19 of his team members on the tour. The case has been taken up by the Pamunugama police and they are currently investigating the issue. The post-mortem examinations will take place today.
