Yuvraj Singh and Hazel Keech talk about their wedding plans

Yuvraj Singh is set to join the long list of Indian cricketers who got hitched in recent times. The Indian southpaw and Bollywood actress Hazel Keech are currently the talk of the town after getting engaged in November 2015. There is no official news about when the marriage will take place but the couple has confirmed that they would get married soon.

Ahead of the ninth edition of IPL, Yuvraj Singh and Hazel Keech revealed some of the exciting things along with their wedding plans while speaking to Harper’s Bazaar magazine.

The soon-to-be-bride, Hazel, began with how Yuvraj Singh proposed to her.

“Yuvi proposed to me in Bali. He organised a romantic dinner and surprised me.”

Yuvi, on the other hand, says that her ‘Yes’ to the proposal has been the most special thing for him in the relationship.

Yuvraj and Hazel spoke about the habits they like and dislike in each other. Yuvraj Singh says that he has nothing to hate about Hazel.

“I love that she’s so caring. And I don’t hate anything about you, actually (addressing Hazel). But if you could make decisions by yourself, that would be good.”

Hazel, at first, starts with appreciating Yuvraj but eventually reveals that Yuvraj’s complaining after making last minute plans is the only bad habit the charismatic cricketer has in him.

“I love that he has the biggest heart I’ve ever seen. There’s nothing I hate about you… erm… (Hazel taking ages to decide), I don’t like that you tell me at the last minute we’re going out and then complain about how long I take to get ready,” added Hazel.

The wedding ceremony is obviously planned meticulously. Both are planning to go for Sikh and Hindu ceremonies (Hazel Keech is Mauritian Hindu)

“When I was little, I watched a lot of Disney movies–so I always imagined a big fairytale wedding as a kid. But when marriage became real, I felt an intimate wedding with close family and friends would be better,” Hazel Keech speaking about her marriage dreams.

The bestman and bridesmaid are the most important ones in when a couple walks down the aisle. It’s usually tough for the Bride and Groom to choose them but for Yuvraj Singh it wasn’t a great deal as the Best man had already selected himself.

“I don’t have a choice; Angad Bedi has already appointed himself my Best Man,” Yuvraj said.

On the other hand, Hazel’s bridesmaid will be her sister Tina Keech-Henderson and her best friend Bruna Abdullah and Insia Lacewala.

Any preparation for a wedding is incomplete without a wedding dress but the couple are yet to take a call on that as they have quite a few friends in the fashion industry. They are also planning about how their wedding would be and said, “We have decided to sort of incorporate a bit of both. We’ve decided to have small, intimate Sikh and Hindu wedding ceremonies, followed by a big sangeet and then a bigger reception.”

They further spoke about their honeymoon destination and according to Hazel; she wants to go to Hawaii and surf, while Yuvraj would love to go some place with a calm ambience. She also hinted Yuvraj on what kind of destination Hazel would want and said, “For me, I’d love a picnic under the stars… ‘hint hint Yuvi’.”
