The swashbuckling top-order batsman from Mumbai, Suryakumar Yadav has been hogging all the limelight lately owing to his dream run in the just-concluded five-match T20I series against England. Yadav was handed his maiden cap during the second T20 International but he couldn’t bat as Ishan Kishan and skipper Virat Kohli shined with the willow that day.

This was followed by the batsman getting dropped from the third game but an injury to Ishan Kishan resulted in Surya getting selected in the Playing XI. Sent to bat at Number 3, the 30-year-old grabbed the opportunity with both hands as he scored a stunning half-century to help India post a decent total on the board.

The top-order batsman followed it up with a quickfire knock of 32 runs off just 17 deliveries in the fifth T20I. The two stunning performances resulted in Surya making heads turn in the cricket fraternity and earning applause and praises from the greats of the game. Thus, there are high chances that the right-hander can be handed his ODI cap too in the next One Day International against England.
