Team India scripted a stunning victory in the first One Day International of the three-match series against England at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune by 66 runs to lead the series by 1-0. However, ahead of the second ODI, the hosts have been dealt with a massive blow as it is learned that their in-form middle-order batsman Shreyas Iyer has been ruled out of the rest of the series.

During the first fixture, Iyer fell on his left shoulder while attempting to stop a shot from England opener Jonny Bairstow and was in extreme pain.
