Few cricketers have achieved success in international cricket as rapidly as Jasprit Bumrah. Without a shred of doubt, Bumrah is the best death bowler in the country, probably in the world. His knack of bowling pinpoint yorkers is mind-boggling. His plan execution capability coupled with an eccentric slinging action makes life even more difficult for the batsman.
Mumbai Indians have discovered many talented cricketers since they started achieving success. Bumrah is one of them. He made his IPL debut in April 2013 against Bangalore and immediately struck with the RCB skipper <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/barring-virat-kohli-and-kane-williamson-its-about-mediocre-captaincy-nowadays-shoaib-akhtar/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Virat Kohli</a>&#8216;s wicket. 2016 was the breakthrough year for Bumrah.
The pacer took 15 wickets in the IPL at an economy of 7.81. He too made his international debut in Australia along with Hardik. After achieving success in limited-overs cricket, Kohli unleashed him in the Tests against South Africa last year. In 12 Test matches, Bumrah has bagged 62 wickets at an average of 19.
He has become the leader of the pace attack; which is considered the best ever collective group of fast bowlers in the history of Indian Test cricket. He is number one bowler in ODIs and third in Tests. He flummoxes the batsmen with his range of variations. His stock of variations includes a fast yorker, a dipping slower yorker, a zipping in-nipper, and the occasional sharp bouncer. The 25-year-old is already in the folklore of Indian cricket. He is a genius. He is a freakish genius.

<h3>Ravichandran Ashwin</h3>

Ravichandran Ashwin is known for his smart and clever antics with the ball in hand. He made his IPL debut in 2009 under MS Dhoni and a year later he received a national call-up. The offie hogged the limelight with the wicket of an in-form <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/kl-rahul-sends-a-cheeky-birthday-wish-to-chris-gayle-asks-him-not-to-blush/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Chris Gayle</a> in two consecutive playoff games in IPL 2011. Ashwin has only flourished since then.
He has picked 150 ODI wickets and 52 T20I wickets to go with 125 wickets in the IPL. But with the arrival of wrist-spinners, Ashwin has been ignored and hasn’t played any limited-overs international in over two years. But it is Test cricket where the Tamil Nadu spinner has become a force to reckon, especially in home conditions.
His tally of 62, 72 and 56 wickets in 2015, 2016 and 2017 saw him rise to the top spot in ICC Test bowlers rankings, only to be contested by teammate Ravindra Jadeja. In the subcontinent, the pair of Ashwin and Jadeja is capable of running through any team&#8217;s line-up in the world.
There were speculations over the precedency of the 33-year-old in Test cricket when he didn’t start against West Indies. But he has stunningly responded with strong performances in the home Tests against South Africa.
<h3>KL Rahul</h3>

This Karnataka player is amongst the most talented batsman in Indian cricket at the moment. But KL Rahul hasn&#8217;t justified the talent he possesses. With Dhawan and Rohit being a successful opening pair, it also leaves Rahul with very few opportunities to break in permanently into the team.
The Karnataka lad made his IPL debut in 2013 for Bangalore. In a star-studded RCB line-up, Rahul could only get a handful of chances. But it was in the IPL 2016 where he thrived amassing 397 runs at an average of 44 and striking at 146. Rahul has a brilliant record in the T20 format for India and in the IPL.
He piled up 659 runs last year in the IPL and 593 runs this year and holds the record of the fastest fifty in IPL. The 27-year-old has two T20I centuries and an IPL century to his name. He made his Test debut in 2013 and limited-overs debut in 2016. Rahul has been dropped from the Test team, but his exclusion from the limited-overs side seems a bit perplexing.
He was given the number four responsibility at the start of the World Cup. Because of Dhawan’s injury, he was moved to the top, and to be fair, he performed above expectations of all. Rahul scored 361 runs at an average of 45 with a century and two half-centuries. He is aggressive and flamboyant and likes to take the attack to the bowlers from the first over. He has the backing of the skipper and hopefully, will soon once again see him in the blue jersey.
