With the likes of Virat Kohli, Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers already in their ranks, Royal Challengers Bangalore didn’t really need to add another player to the department and they didn’t. For most part of the auction, the RCB table was silent and let others enjoy the bidding. But as soon as England pacer Tymal Mills was introduced they were suddenly active and aggressive.

RCB raised the bid to 24 times his base price of 50 lacs and signed the pacer for 12 crores. Mills recently featured in the England squad that toured India and displayed exceptional fast and death bowling skills. He racked up some serious pace clocking over 90 miles an hour and stunned the batsmen with well controlled and disguised slower balls that were around the 100 kmph range. The team needed Mills to make up for the loss of Mitchell Starc who pulled out of the season and was later relieved of duty by the team.

Left-arm pacer Aniket Choudhary came into the limelight when the Indian team management flew him at the training camp to help the Indian batsmen in getting used to the angles left-arm pacers create in their bid to prepare against Australia’s Mitchell Starc. He was rewarded for his hard work and RCB awarded him a contract worth INR 2 crores. Surprisingly Pawan Negi once again managed to take away 1 crore from the auction.

Here is the full list of players SRH bought in the auction:
