1. Narayan Jagadeesan

In the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022-23, Narayan Jagadeesan displayed his brilliance with the bat smashing 830 runs in eight matches at a mind-boggling strike rate of 125.37. After showcasing his best side, Jagadeesan got rewarded in the 2023 mini-auction as Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) signed him at INR 90 lakh.

Earlier, CSK released him in November 2022 following his flop show in the 2022 season. In two games of the previous IPL edition, the Tamil Nadu batter could accumulate only 40 runs for CSK in two matches at a horrendous strike rate of 108.11. However, forgetting his previous failure, the 27-year-old has been efficient in the 2022-23 domestic season.

After the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022-23, he was excellent in the Ranji Trophy as well. Notching up 528 runs with two centuries in 10 innings of six matches, he ended up becoming the highest run-scorer for his team. Considering these incredible numbers of the in-form batter, SRH shouldn’t have bought Agarwal, who looked out of colour in limited-over formats for a long time.

Instead, they should’ve chosen Jagadeesan as their opener in the upcoming IPL installment as he rocked the recent tournaments with his scintillating batting shows.
