Talented medium-pacer Yash Thakur had an amazing mini-auction in December 2022 as he received his first IPL contract and got picked by LSG. The franchise got him at INR 45 lakh to add strength to its bowling line-up. In the upcoming tournament, he will look forward to making his debut season memorable with his outstanding bowling potential.

In 37 domestic T20 matches, Thakur has showcased his marvellous bowling skills picking up 55 scalps at an economy of 6.68. In the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2022-23, he was the leading wicket-taker for Vidarbha with 15 wickets in ten matches, at an economy of 7.17.

In a couple of games of the competition, he looked fierce with the ball defending 11 runs and 9 runs successfully for his team against Uttarakhand and Delhi respectively. However, the youngster might find himself unlucky as the franchise could bench him for the entire season, and prefer Avesh Khan and Mohsin Khan over him.
