The cricketing trends on the social media revolved around a number of events. Pakistan is celebrating its Defence Day and cricketers like Sarfraz Ahmed and Shoaib Akhtar heaped praises on the country’s armed force for their relentless efforts. Former Pakistani cricketer Misbah ul Haq announced a children hospital project for children born with congenital heart disease.
English women’s cricketer Danielle Wyatt tried her hands in playing golf. KL Rahul hasn’t had the best of series with the bat in England, but he believes that one shouldn’t surrender to the situation and keep working hard. South African fast bowler Dale Steyn was elated to see his teammates Wayne Parnell and Kyle Abbott doing well in England’s County Championship.
Mohammad Kaif reckons that one shouldn’t nurture hatred by any means. The fifth Test between England and India starts tomorrow at Kennington Oval in London. Dean Jones congratulated Hong Kong after they beat United Arab Emirates (UAE) to qualify for the main draw of the Asia Cup, starting September 15.
They will play their first match on September 16 against Pakistan at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The Supreme Court decriminalised Section 377 and made gay sex legal after which Deep Dasgupta, Isa Guha, and many other eminent personalities sounded jubilated.
