The Australian cricket team has visited Pakistan for a historic all-format bilateral series for the first time after the 1998/99 season. The first Test at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium ended in a stalemate with both teams unable to outclass each other in a run-fest on a dead wicket. The second match will be played at the National Stadium in Karachi on March 12.

Ahead of the all-important second Test match, Marnus Labuschagne has once again grabbed the headlines.  Labuschagne had a lot of supporters in the series-opener with one fan even requesting him to help her in pronouncing the Test sensation’s last name. However, on this occasion, the South Africa-born cricketer has not come up with a compliment but, with a complaint.

Marnus Labuschagne complains about stale food on social media

Marnus Labuschagne took to his official Twitter handle and mocked the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for providing poor-quality food. He also shared the image of stale dal and rotis. Marnus went on to caption the same as “Daal and roti for lunch too. Delicious”.

The image went viral in no time and even the netizens had a gala time on social media when this came to their notice. Here are some of the reactions.

Marnus Labuschagne, who has so far established himself in the Australian conditions in his promising red-ball career which also saw him gain the top spot in the ICC Test rankings for batters made a tremendous impact in the first Test on a batting-friendly surface. He looked set for a big total before being dismissed for 90.

The Australians did not get a chance to bat in the second innings as Pakistan openers Imam-ul-Haq and Abdullah Shafique scored unbeaten centuries in the hosts’ second innings and remained unbeaten as Pak scored 252/0 at the end of stumps on the final day. Both teams would now be eyeing a result in this Test match in order to take a lead in the three-match series.
