India batter Vanitha VR has come hard down at the former selectors of the women’s game saying the members talk only when their tenure comes to an end. The right-hand batter has also questioned why they don’t comment or give an explanation when they are selectors of the national team. Vanitha’s harsh comments come after the current Indian selectors while selecting the team for the team’s all-format tour removed certain players and included certain players in the team without giving a proper explanation.

The former Karnataka player shared the screenshot on her official social media platforms and also gave a fitting caption to the post. “Someone should take accountability of inclusion and exclusion of certain players. It has become an absolute dilemma and devastating for players. Former selectors talk only after they leave the post why don’t they talk or give an explanation when they are in helm,” Vanitha said.

In the same post and pictures posted by the right-hand batter, it is evident how she has slammed the selection process of the country for not taking any accountability whatsoever for the selection of certain players, or removal of other players. “When will the “former selectors” accept (responsibility) for bad selections too. Why take credit all the time for someone who is doing well.”

“The actual problem lies somewhere else. None of the “former selectors” would want to acknowledge it or even discuss about it,” added Vanitha.

The 31 -year-old concern stems from the fact that the selectors never want to talk or discuss pointers concerning the selection process when they are in the hot seat. They do it once their tenure comes to closure. Vanitha in the same post has vented her frustration.

“They all want to talk and discuss selections when they are not at the helm of things. The same thing one should talk about when they head the selection committee not after leaving the post” read Vanitha’s third comment.
