I can't wait to pick him up. He's been away for too long: Michael Clarke's wife

Former Australian skipper Michael Clarke has currently been honouring his duties in the commentary box for the India-Australia series. The World Cup-winning captain has managed to produce some valuable insights of the game for the television viewers. He has been highly appreciative of the way Team India has performed throughout the series and equally critical regarding Australia’s attitude.

However, the former star batsman is being missed at home down under in Sydney. His wife Kyly admitted that she and their daughter Kelsey Lee were missing Michael, who is slated to return after the conclusion of Australia’s tour to India.

He’s been away too long

“Kelsey Lee and I can’t wait to pick him up. He’s been away for too long,” Kyly told the Today Show yesterday. Talking about their daughter who’s going to turn two next month, the mother mentioned, “She’s standing up saying she wants to come into mummy’s bed. It has been a tough few weeks. I am looking to hand over the baton to Michael.”

The former cricketer too has been longing to meet his daughter. He quite recently posted an adorable picture of him with Kelsey and captioned, “I have missed you so much.”

The couple got married in what was a secret Blue Mountains ceremony in May 2012. The arrival of their daughter Kelsey Lee has surely had a great impact on the lives of former Aussie skipper and his entrepreneur wife, who even stressed the importance of reestablishing your relationship in the aftermath of having a child.

Michael was earlier linked with model Lara Worthington Bingle, but they broke up in 2007 after which he started dating Kyly. “We bumped into each other in a bar. I think it was 2007 and I recognised Kyly,” he had remarked when asked about said the couple’s first meeting.
