Although Ishan Kishan ended the IPL season with 418 runs to his name, he will be disappointed with his overall performance in the tournament. The southpaw’s struggle at the top of the order was one of the big factors behind MI’s underwhelming season in IPL 2022. The opener will look to emulate the good form that he showed against Sri Lanka before the IPL.

Meanwhile, Anrich Nortje joined the Delhi Capitals late in the IPL as he was nursing an injury. While he was rusty in the first couple of games, the speedster regained his form soon after and was ruthless against the batters with his hard lengths. The pacer ended with nine wickets in six games in IPL 2022.

Kishan is a free-flowing batter who likes to be expressive early in his innings, but the pace and accuracy of Nortje are more than likely to trouble the southpaw. The right-arm pacer is known for his rapid bouncers and will aim to expose Kishan’s weakness against the short deliveries.
